Guide to Official JMR Tournaments

Jelle's Marble Runs hosts three major recurring tournament series, collectively known as the Big 3, as well as a number of smaller side tournaments and one-off events throughout the year.

The Marble League

The Marble League began in 2016 and has since iterated yearly, with each edition since 2018 being hosted in a new location by a different team with new events and theming. JMR's flagship tournament, it features 16 marble teams (4 auto-qualifiers and 12 qualifiers) competing across 16 multidisciplinary events (12 prior to 2019) to win the coveted Marble League trophy. Since its inception there have been 11 instalments of the League, won by 9 different teams, most recently the Pinkies in 2026.

Marbula One

Marbula One began in 2020, envisioned as a sister series to the Marble League after it finished its 2019 season. Inspired by Formula One, it features 20 marble teams (16 in Season 1) competing for points in a gauntlet of circuit-racing style events, with each unique racetrack being hosted and owned by a specific team. M1 tournaments usually take place yearly. Across 6 seasons, we've seen 4 unique team victories.

Sand Marble Rally

The Sand Marble Rally, or SMR, was JMR's inaugural series, and the one which introduced Greg Woods and Comet to the world. While Marbula One and the League draw from the same roster of teams, SMR is a no-holds-barred downhill outdoor sand race series featuring individual 24mm marble racers vying for the championship each season. Beginning in 2016, SMR is now usually biyearly (once every two years), and saw its most recent season released in summer 2024.

Side Tournaments and One-Offs

Beyond the Big 3, JMR usually puts out one or more side tournaments during the year, usually featuring the same roster of teams and marbles from the League and M1. The earliest side tournament, the Hubelino Tournament, dates back to 2016, and new side tournaments are released regularly to this day.
