Novelties and side tournaments which are not considered part of the JMR "canon" - such as marble "theme park" sets or promotional tournaments like Last Marble Standing and Freak Marbles - are not included here.

Hubelino Tournament

A side tournament dating from all the way back in 2016, the first two seasons of the Hubelino Tournament utilised 22mm marbles - significantly larger than the standard 16mm marbles in use elsewhere - competing across 8 events, with all setpieces using Hubelino parts and pieces. The 8 teams which featured differ from the mainstream League teams. After 2018 the tournament was cancelled, with the three top teams from the season - the Bumblebees, Minty Maniacs, and Black Jacks - moving to the Marble League. It was later revived in 2025 for a one-off season featuring the three Hubelino teams and five other Marble League teams, which also marked the first appearance of Phoenix/Nora as commentator.

Marble Survival

An elimination-style tournament with two seasons. Though both featuring all 32 Marble League teams, the two seasons - Marble Survival 100 and Marble Survival Season 2 - are structured differently, as weekly two-team elimination mini races and traditional single-elimination style races respectively. Taking place on the island of Kinikolu, the first season holds the record for JMR's longest non-interrupted tournament so far.

Iron Marble

A spiritual sequel to the Survival tournaments with a rust-and-desert aesthetic. Unlike the single-marble Survival tournaments, Iron Marble features full 4-marble teams competing to accumulate the most points possible across varied obstacle-course style tracks and avoid end-of-round elimination.

Marble League All-Stars

Initially conceived of as a replacement for the once-cancelled (later reinstated) 2024 League Showdown, All-Stars is an 8-event special one-off tournament featuring a curated selection of successful and popular teams competing in events from the 2024 Marble League. A few format changes are noted, including to the Ice Maze and Halfpipe.

Winter Special

3 January 2021 - 30 January 2021

Taking place between the two halves of Marbula One Season 2, the Winter Special was a five-event one-off tournament showcasing winter events, several of which had not returned since the 2018 Winter League. With its curated roster of 16 teams, the Special also marked the first tournament where Mellow Yellow did not appear.

Impact Marble Racing

Full Tournament

12 November 2025 - 1 February 2026

A mini tournament intended to show off the Impact Marble Racing setpieces prior to their inclusion in the 2026 Marble League. This tournament introduced several new events, including Scoops and Switchback Race, and is an unusual modern example of a tournament needing to be postponed for Marbula One, leading to its unusual length.

Marble Collision Underleague

A story-driven tournament. Each episode, two of JMR's historic rivalries settle their differences in a mysterious collision venue, competing until one team overcomes the other in direct marble-to-marble conflict. The second tournament to be commentated by Phoenix/Nora.

Marble ManiaX

All Events

20 December 2021 - 12 February 2022

One of JMR's earliest side tournaments, Marble ManiaX - hosted by the Balls of Chaos - is unusual for featuring musical interludes for its events, and also for introducing several new teams as exclusive competitors. The winning team, the Purple Rockets, was invited to the League; the rest of these teams have since reappeared as test teams and in one-off races.
